We heard back from birth mom "H" via e-mail, and I also spoke to her on the phone. She is a very nice and intelligent girl with a good head on her shoulders. So much about her and her situation is just perfect for us -- except for one very important thing. Unfortunately, this one factor makes us unable to proceed with an adoption with her.
My husband and I are both very disappointed. We wish her well and hope she finds the right family for her baby soon!
As far as the other situations, we never heard back from any of the potential birth moms who contacted us. And, the 4-year-old girl we were being considered for is being adopted by her foster parents. So, I guess we've reached the bottom of yet another hill on the adoption roller coaster.
